For unemployed post 9/11 Veterans:
Lift Operator Safety Course for honorably discharged, unemployed veterans who served on or after 9/11/2001 – CLEVELAND location only.
Towlift, with the assistance of The Cuyahoga County Veterans Service Commission, offers this operator training, at no charge, to all eligible post 9/11 era veterans. To be eligible you must have served in the active military (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force or Coast Guard) and have been discharged or released from active service under conditions other than dishonorable. A copy of your DD-214 or valid active duty/reserves Military ID is required.
Towlift will provide you with formal instruction and hands-on training for the operation of material handling equipment (sit-down rider type forklift trucks). This is followed by a written test and a driving evaluation. Documentation and a training certificate will be given to you upon course completion. All operator training is in compliance with OSHA regulation 29 CRF 1910.178 Powered Industrial Trucks.

- Drivers license
- 18 years minimum age
- A copy of your DD-214 or valid active duty/reserves Military ID
- 1 year of lift truck operator experience
