  • OPERATOR SAFETY COURSE #5000

    This course consists of formal instruction and hands-on training for sit-down, rider-type trucks, followed by a written test and driving evaluation. Documentation and certificates will be sent to your company, allowing you to be OSHA compliant. This is a course for experienced operators.   This class is limited to 10 students.  Class time:  7:30 a.m. - noon.

    Prerequisite: Valid motor vehicle license / 1 year lift truck operation

    Cost: $128.00 per Student

  • HOW TO DRIVE A LIFT TRUCK #5010


    This course is for anyone who wants to learn to drive a lift truck. Students may have no prior experience or less than 1- year of operation. Students learn how to use material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Trainees will operate trucks under direct supervision in an area that does not endanger the trainee or others. A “restricted” learner’s permit will be issued to students who demonstrate sufficient operating ability.  Class time:  7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  Lunch is provided.

  • OPERATOR PERFORMANCE EVALUATION (Recertification Course) #582

    This class is for operators who have completed a Towlift formal training program. Drivers receive an update on safe operation and will be evaluated to meet the 3-year OSHA requirement. Documentation and wallet cards will be sent to your company allowing you to be OSHA compliant.  Class time:  7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

    Prerequisite: Documentation of prior Towlift formal training program.

    Cost: $90.00 per Student

  • TRAINER QUALIFICATION COURSE #5750

    Trainers are required to "have the knowledge, training and experience to train operators and evaluate their competence". Safety professionals, supervisors and anyone who has the responsibility to train operators will benefit from this program. Attendees will participate in discussions covering the 24 required content subjects of the revised OSHA standard. Participants will learn how to evaluate performance in the workplace and how to conduct the required formal and refresher training.
    Class time:  7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  Lunch is provided.

  • SCISSOR LIFT OPERATOR SAFETY #5014

    Formal instruction will be conducted at our facility. This 3-hour class includes formal classroom instruction, a written test and a hands-on evaluation of each student’s driving ability. Documentation and wallet cards will be sent to your company allowing you to be OSHA compliant.  Class time:  7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

    Prerequisite:

    • 1 Year Scissor Lift Operation
    • Valid Motor Vehicle Driver's License
    • MUST be 18 years old to operate a Powered Industrial Truck

  • TERMINAL TRACTORS AT YOUR FACILITY #5008

    This course is designed to provide your operators with procedures on safe operation of Yard and Terminal Tractors. Students will go through a 3-1/2 hour classroom session and then complete a written quiz on the material covered in class. All students must demonstrate proficient operation of the equipment. The course will cover non-highway tractors and is not DOT or CDL operator training. All students should have a valid state motor vehicle license with 1 year of driving experience. Call the Towlift Training Center for more information. Student minimums apply.

  • VETERANS OPERATOR SAFETY COURSE #5001

    For unemployed post 9/11 Veterans:

    Lift Operator Safety Course for honorably discharged, unemployed veterans who served on or after 9/11/2001  – CLEVELAND location only.

    Towlift, with the assistance of The Cuyahoga County Veterans Service Commission, offers this operator training, at no charge, to all eligible post 9/11 era veterans.  To be eligible you must have served in the active military (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force or Coast Guard) and have been discharged or released from active service under conditions other than dishonorable.  A copy of your DD-214 or valid active duty/reserves Military ID is required.

    Towlift will provide you with formal instruction and hands-on training for the operation of material handling equipment (sit-down rider type forklift trucks). This is followed by a written test and a driving evaluation.  Documentation and a training certificate will be given to you upon course completion.  All operator training is in compliance with OSHA regulation 29 CRF 1910.178 Powered Industrial Trucks.
